João Paulo Artist

João Paulo (b. 1984) has had artistic inclinations since childhood. A Brazilian originally from Fortaleza, he doesn't remember a time when he didn't draw. In 2010, he entered college to study graphic design and began working as an art director in advertising agencies, a role he would hold for 6 years. In 2016, João left Brazil and moved to Porto, Portugal, where he would earn his master's degree at the Porto College of Fine Arts. As a painter with a background in graphic design, João focuses his work on composition and storytelling, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and subtle surrealism. João currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, with his wife, Charlotte.
